Hurrah, I’ve upgraded wordpress. Only took about 6 months to get round to it and about 5 minutes to actually complete it.

Now I just need to upgrade gallery.

Well, I finished my first ever bike race 28th out of 33. (Though I think we lost a few places to a technical misshap that cost us about 30minutes!) Oh well, it was good fun so I reckon I’ll be entering more races in the future.

We were taking about 45 minutes per lap (The circuit was about 6.2 miles). We were the slowest to manage ten laps, the winners in our category managed 14!

Final prepartions for Saturday’s race are being made. Got to strip everything off the bike and chose the perfect outfit!

Will leave tire choice until Saturday morning.

Jim and I are competing in an 8 hour endurance race around Stanmer Park on Saturday 5th July. (The team that’s does the most laps after 8 hours wins.)

Come along for an hour or two and cheer us on. There will be a gazebo to hide under (thanks Matt) and one of us will be around to talk to while the other is exhausting themselves out on the track.

If you’re interested in cycling yourself, you can borrow a bike and try the one lap GPS challenge where the winning time wins a shiny GPS unit.
